EL PROYECTO DE DISEÑO DEL CUERPO-VESTIDO, SUS PROPÓSITOS Y TRASCENDENCIA
RESUMEN
Este artículo, presenta parte de los hallazgos de la tesis doctoral El vestido como artefacto del diseño: consideraciones para su estudio y reflexión al interior del pensamiento de diseño (2016), en la cual se afirma que todo proyecto de diseño del vestir ha de considerarse como proyecto de diseño del cuerpo. En consecuencia, para pensar un diseño del cuerpo vestido desde y para el sur, los diseñadores deben incluir decisivamente en su práctica, un ejercicio de conciencia acerca de la trascendencia de sus proyectaciones sobre las vidas de las personas y sobre los contextos en los que estas habitan. El bajo compromiso, frente a estas dos importantes consideraciones, ha caracterizado la acción del profesional del diseño del cuerpo-vestido, la cual privilegia la estilización de la forma indumentaria sobre las condiciones sociales culturales de las personas. En estas líneas, se enuncian los argumentos por los cuales esta situación resulta problemática, no solo para las personas participantes en la acción del diseño, sino para la concepción misma de la profesión, pues su práctica, en un sentido amplio, se aparta de la que podría denominarse como la ideología de la disciplina centrada en la pregunta por el bienestar humano en un mundo artificial. El objetivo principal de este artículo es por tanto, interrogar críticamente a las profesiones y profesionales del diseño del cuerpo-vestido acerca de su conciencia sobre el contexto de su práctica y la trascendencia de sus acciones frente a la producción y reproducción de usos del cuerpo.

ABSTRACT
This article presents part of the findings of the doctoral thesis The dress as an artifact of design: considerations for its study and reflection within the design thinking (2016), in which it is affirmed that every design project of clothing must be considered as a body design project. Consequently, to think a design of the body dressed from and for the south, the designers must include decisively in their practice, an exercise of conscience about the transcendence of their projections on the lives of the people and on the contexts in which they are inhabit. The low commitment, in the face of these two important considerations, has characterized the action of the dressed body designers, which privileges the stylization of the clothing form over the social and cultural conditions of people. In these lines, the arguments for which this situation is problematic are stated. Not only for the people participating in the design action, but for the very conception of the profession, since its practice, in a broad sense, departs from what could be called as the ideology of the discipline centered on the question of human welfare in an artificial world. The main objective of this article is therefore, to examine critically professions and professionals of dressed body design about their awareness of the context in their practice and the transcendence of their actions facing the production and reproduction of body uses.
